Jeanne Halderson is a seventh grade teacher at Longfellow Middle School in La Crosse, Wisconsin, a 1:1 iPad school. She teaches ELA and social studies and strives to create an active learning atmosphere using proven literacy strategies, personalized learning, and an authentic and interactive audience. She is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Wisconsin Kohl Fellowship recipient and presents at the local, state, and national levels about how she uses technology in innovative ways in her classroom. Her work has been highlighted in The New York Times, the Apple website, THE Magazine, ISTE books, Scholastic, iTunes, iTunes U, and more. She offers free books on the iTunes book store including iPad Enhanced Reading Interventions, Using iPad to Build Background Knowledge, Photography For School and Life, Flash-y Cards, and Relationships-Engagement-Learning: An Innovative Approach to Education.
